About
Hearts & Hands blends the creative arts - such as painting, crafting, storytelling, and drama- with calming moments of mindfulness, all set within a range of inspiring outdoor spaces including woodlands, allotments and a magical outdoor classroom.
Example timetables from previous clubs:
Meet on Back Lane at 10 pm. Wander through the woods to Nightingale Cottage*.
Morning activities: Yoga & Craft (making woodland-themed chess pieces)
Lunch
Afternoon activities: Story-time by the fire, music & forest bathing.
Walk back through the woods to Back Lane for 3pm.
Meet on Back Lane at 10 pm. Wander through the woods to Nightingale Cottage.
Morning activities: Gardening & Craft (making clay mythical monster eyes)
Lunch
Afternoon activities: Drama & Yoga.
Walk back through the woods to Back Lane for 3pm.
*Please note: our day starts and ends with a walk through public woodland. Whilst it is generally very quiet, we may occasionally meet dog walkers.
Practical Information:
Location: Nightingale Cottage (drop off and pick up on Back Lane).
Dates: 26th & 27th May with the possibility of 28th May (tbc).
Times: 10am - 3pm.
Ages: 5-10 year olds. (Upper age limit is a recommendation only.)
Cost: £45
Other: Children will need to wear weather-appropriate clothing and enclosed shoes, and bring water, lunch and snacks (no nuts).
Please note - children who require 1:1 support at school will need to be accompanied by an adult.
