Founder, Head Teacher & English Teacher
Francesca
Francesca is the former Deputy Head and Head of English of a London private school, and governor of Hadlow and Shipbourne primary schools. She is passionate about using her teaching and leadership experience to shape an alternative to our current education system that carefully balances the academics with creativity and outdoor learning.
Francesca studied English Literature and Language at Kings before specialising in the subject during teacher training.

Maths & Science Teacher
Nicola
Nicola is a primary school teacher who specialises in Maths and Science. She is the Head of Science in a local independent school and has taught from Reception to Year 9, tutoring Maths up to A Level. Nicola has an Engineering Masters from Oxford University and teaches Engineering through STEM lessons.
Her hobbies are board gaming, circus skills and baking. Nicola loves being outdoors, regularly taking her family camping; she uses her skills and love of the outdoors to teach Outdoor Learning and lead a scouting group.

Classroom Support
Angela
Angela is our wonderful, kind, caring support teacher. She worked at Marlborough House School as Art and Maths teacher, and is relishing the opportunity to be back in the classroom!

Hearts & Hands Leader
Emma
Emma is a primary school teacher, specialising in Geography up to GCSE.

She has led yoga and mindfulness clubs at Somerhill, and enjoys music, walking, cooking, photography and theatre. Emma loves being in nature, and using the outdoors to deliver lessons and activities to promote wellbeing. Emma has supported regular Forest School sessions within her career.
